Which nail lamp should I buy?
- Starting out or mobile: a compact 36W–54W LED lamp, light and easy to carry
- Busy salon: a high-power dual UV/LED lamp for fast, even curing of builder gel and BIAB
- Using one brand's gels: that brand's own lamp (for example a Magpie lamp for Magpie gels) for the recommended cure times
UV or LED – what's the difference?
LED lamps cure most modern gels in 30–60 seconds. Dual UV/LED lamps cure both LED gels and older UV-only gels. Always follow the cure time on your gel.
Can I cure BIAB with any nail lamp?
Most BIAB and builder gels cure in a dual UV/LED lamp. Check the brand's guidance for wattage and cure time.
