Why use Hema on clients Nails when you don't have too?

So what is HEMA?
Hema is short for Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate. It is used as a monomer in some nail products and also in other industries like Dentistry. Its main purpose is for adhesion, which we obviously need for nail products
Why does Hema Have a bad reputation?
Sadly over the years alot of nail products contain and have contained unsafe levels of Hema. Poor to no education results in the products being used incorrectly and not being applied to manufacturers instructions. Both these factors have sadly led to a lot of HEMA allergies.
Hema is perfectly safe to use when manufactured using safe levels, but it is known as a allergen. Just like wheat or diary in relation to food, some people can have allergies to them but to most there is nothing wrong with these foods.
If you or your client is having a reaction, the only way to know for sure what you are reacting to is to get tested by a Dermatologist.
